My name is Irina Koturic (She/Her)

Thank you for stopping by! I have always felt that it is such an
honour to have others trust me with their stories and experiences and I want to thank you for taking this step in your journey.


I am a licensed social worker with over 15 years in the field. My experience includes working in large hospitals as well as private therapy in supporting individuals with a wide range of experiences. I truly love bearing witness to the experiences and stories of others and I love to learn about each person I work with. I truly believe all people have the ability to grow and heal when the right kind of support is provided and I love to empower individuals to cultivate self-awareness, develop coping skills, and build resilience in the face of adversity.

My Approach

Every person is different so I take an integrative approach, using evidence-based models such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused therapy, Positive Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness to tailor our sessions to your needs. 

I also work with clients who are looking for Life Coaching or are feeling “stuck" or dissatisfied with their habits, job or their life overall. So sometimes our time together can provide an opportunity to learn new ways of perceiving and solving the problems you may be facing. And sometimes our time together offers a chance to be present with our thoughts or feelings and let them guide us towards the life we want. 

I look at a person as a whole – meaning all aspects of our lives influence one another and create ripple effects in our lives. I emphasize the importance of real self-care (such as boundary work), mindfulness, and self-compassion. 


I think of good mental health as not just the absence of sadness and “negative” feelings or experiences in our life but also how vibrant and energized we can feel about our daily life! The absence of “bad” does not always mean everything is “good”. Together, we look for ways to feel like you are living the life you want to live and that your actions align with the type of person you’d like to be. 


I provide a compassionate and safe space, where we build a trusting and empathetic relationship. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories and finding the common threads we all have in our human experience. In our time together, expect a judgement-free space, some humor and lots of support!
